PRIVACY POLICY
We, Astreus Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act 2013 having CIN U93095PN2022PTC210157 and registered office at office no. B-704, B-705 and B-706 on 7th Floor, Baner Biz Bay, Survey No. 110/11/23 and 110/11, Village Baner, Near Balewadi, Aundh Baner Road, Pune Maharashtra 411 045 India (hereinafter to be referred as "Seetara”) is aware and understands the importance of privacy of the information shared by the user (“User”) at the time of visiting our website www.seetara.in (“Website”) or our mobile application (collectively the “Online Portal” or “Platform”) and creating an account to avail the services offered on the Online Portal. Considering the personal and sensitive nature of the information, the User may share with Seetara, Seetara has created this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) setting out the manner in which Seetara shall use and protect any information that is shared with Seetara or becomes available to Seetara when the User visits the Online Portal and registers into the same. Seetara has also put in place suitable remedial measures, to the best of its capabilities, to ensure that the information shared, is not being used in an unauthorized and unlawful manner.
Statutory compliance under: Seetara has created this Privacy Policy in compliance with Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (“Rules”), read with Section 43A of the Information Technology Act 2000 (“Act”), (as amended from time to time), which governs the instances wherein a body corporate or any person on its behalf, collects, receives, possess, stores, deals or handle information of the provider of such information, is required to provide a Privacy Policy for handling such information which includes personal and sensitive personal information. The Rules also provide that the Privacy Policy should be made in a clear and easily accessible format available on the Online Portal for view by the User. Seetara commits to limiting the collection of User’s information to what is directly relevant and necessary to accomplish the purpose of services provided through the Online Portal. The Privacy Policy states that Seetara will limit the collection and use of User information only on a need-to-know basis to deliver better service to the User. This Privacy Policy states that Seetara has implemented encryption or other appropriate security controls to protect information and has established electronic and administrative safeguards designed to secure the information collected, to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of that information.
Nature of information collected: The information collected by Seetara can be, Personal Information (includes but is not limited to, name, age, date of birth, address, contact information including email address) or Sensitive Information (information relating to passwords, financial information such as bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details; physical, physiological and medical records and history, mental health conditions, sexual orientation; photographs, profile pictures, access to videos for conference calls, voice recording, microphone during the consultation or any other susceptible detail of the User) (collectively referred to as “Information”).
Collection of Information: The User may, in certain instances visit the Online Portal anonymously, without revealing the identity or without intending to provide any Information. Notwithstanding this, there may be instances, wherein the User may be requested to provide certain Information in order to cater to the requirements of registration and in order to avail the assistance of Seetara. Any such Information so collected may also be used to enhance the quality of assistance offered by Seetara.
Use of Information: The Information which is collected and stored by Seetara is used only for lawful purposes which includes, creation of User account with the Online Portal that enables the User to manage and access the various features of the Online Portal, for payment for the products purchased on the Online Portal, for obtaining live consultation with the astrologers and for such other services, as may be provided by Seetara.
Consent: By accessing and providing the Information, whenever requested, the User consents and grants Seetara the right to use the Information in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
Withdrawal of Consent: In the event, the User does not intend to provide any further information or continue with the use of the Online Portal, the User in such a scenario may unsubscribe by accessing the 'unsubscribe' link. Pursuant to such a request from the User, Seetara shall delete the Information from the Online Portal (unless the same is to be retained pursuant to the requirements under the applicable laws) in which case the User will no longer be able to access certain features of Seetara.
Sharing of Information: Seetara may share Information with companies, organizations or individuals (“Third Party”) outside of Seetara, if Seetara has a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the Information is reasonably necessary on a 'need basis' to (a) meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce applicable Terms and Conditions, including investigation of potential violations, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Seetara, the Users or the public as required or permitted by applicable law; and (e) develop its business. The employees, consultants, and representatives of Seetara are bound by certain code of conduct and confidentiality policy which obligates them to protect the Information. Seetara takes adequate steps to ensure that the Third Party adopts a reasonable level of security practices and procedures to ensure the security of the Information shared with them.
Technical and Security measures: Seetara has in place appropriate technical and security measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful access to, accidental loss of, or destruction and damage of the Information. Seetara observes reasonable security measures to protect the Information against hacking and virus dissemination. When Seetara collects data through the Online Portal, it is stored in a secure server. Seetara uses firewalls and encryption by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) coding. Seetara strives to ensure the security of the Information from being decrypted by hackers, however for reasons outside the control of Seetara, security risks may still arise.
Safeguards: Seetara endeavors to protect the Information shared by the User and to ensure this, Seetara have put in place suitable mechanism. Seetara takes necessary efforts to ensure that there is no unauthorised use or transmission of Information; however, the User fully understands and acknowledges that information transmitted to Seetara may be subject to certain risks. The User is aware and acknowledges the limitations of Seetara and agrees and undertakes not to hold Seetara liable for any unintended access, loss or destruction of the Information which might occur in the event the User accesses or visits any external page for making payment for the products that are purchased by the User. The User is strongly advised not to send full credit or debit card details in unencrypted electronic communications with Seetara. Seetara maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of the Information.
External links: Seetara may send to User, other information about the various products, its business, business partners or relating to other companies through newsletters, SMS updates, or e-mails (“Updates”). If the User does not wish to receive the Updates, the User can unsubscribe by following the un-subscription process. The process to unsubscribe may take a minimum of at least seven (7) business days from the date of receipt of the request to unsubscribe. Further, while visiting the Online Portal, the User may come across links to other websites or may be directed to a payment gateway to complete its purchase of the products or services. The User shall be solely responsible for the User’s visit or association with those websites and Seetara shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for User's visit or association with such websites.
IP Addresses: The Online Portal of Seetara may collect internet protocol (“IP”) addresses for system administration, security, and statistical analysis purposes. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to a computer whenever it is connected to the Internet. Seetara may log these addresses and analyze them to understand where requests originate so that Seetara can provide the most efficient service, enhance security, ensure appropriate usage and produce traffic volume statistics.
Cookies: Cookies are created when a browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server. Computer Cookies are created not just by the website the user is browsing but also by other websites that run ads, widgets, or other elements on the page being loaded. Usage of Cookies: Basis the above, Seetara may use cookies to (a) keep track of User status, business information and preferences of the User in relation to the Online Portal or otherwise, (b) administer Online Portal preferences and other information provided by the User visiting the Online Portal, and (c) understand visitor usage, on an anonymous basis, of the Online Portal.
Representation: Seetara works on the presumption that Information provided herein by the User is true and accurate in all respects, and the User grants an unconditional consent to the collection, storage and use of such Information to Seetara as per this Privacy Policy.
Amendments: This Privacy Policy is subject to amendments from time to time. The changes are done with an endeavor to ensure better protection and is based on the decision taken by the management. By accessing the Online Portal, User agrees to these changes. The User may determine when the Privacy Policy was last updated by referring to the modification date found at the bottom of the Privacy webpage.
Data Retention: Seetara may retain Information about customers/visitors as may be necessary for business purposes and as required by government regulation for a suitable period. Sensitive Personal Information/Data provided by the User to Seetara will be deleted if the User delete his account unless required by the law in force to maintain or Information shall be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the law in force at that point of time. . Seetara endeavours to carefully dispose of records and delete Information after the expiration of the data retention period.
